I support you, I love you, I will fight for you.

Before I start with “I hope everyone had a great holiday”, I want to direct this post at all those who have had an awful holiday experience. To everyone who was:
Alone.
Abused.
Suicidal.
Anxious.
Hungry.
Forced to celebrate a holiday you don’t observe.
Forced to celebrate a holiday that commemorates trauma in your past.
Forced to “act normal”.
Forced to be someone else.
Forced to be anywhere.
Forced to be near toxic people.
Forced to be near bigoted or racist family members.
Forced to wear a certain clothing item.
Forced to listen to family mock, shame, or condemn anyone including you.
Forced to act as if nothing happened.
Forced to act as if you’re not offended.
Forced to act as if it’s ok that your preferred pronoun wasn’t used.
Misgengendered.
Misgendered on purpose.
Given dirty looks when doing nothing but being yourself.
Made to feel less than.
If you are reading this, you made it. You survived that part of “the most wonderful time of the year” that no one talks about. You are beautiful, strong, resilient and you are loved. If there are toxic people in your life and you cannot leave your current situation easily, there is help. I’ve left some links/phone numbers below.
