In honor of this amazing day, I choose to celebrate the two women in my life who I thank Goddess for everyday. I hope I honor these women well.
Author’s note: Sadly, this month has been the most hectic month I have seen in a while. While I wanted to do a multi-post article about Black History Month, time was not on my side to get that completed and will be in another selection to be coming soon. However, I hope this article can help keep a smile on your face and a paw in your hand.
One of my passions is photography. Passed down to me from my late grandfather, photography has been an outlet that could never be graded, nor judged, nor analyzed unless my permission is granted.
Today, I stopped over my brother’s house to wait for a package to arrive. While waiting, I was able to take time to play with my dog-niece, Mocha. Mocha is the sweetest little one-year old beauty. Continue reading “Portrait of a Dog.”
So sorry it’s been so long, my loves. I recently lost my grandfather and it has been quite difficult around here. But I’m dusting myself off and getting my $#!+ together to come back with brand new entries and hopefully a damn YT video at some point.
Be on the look out, my loves!
Before I start with “I hope everyone had a great holiday”, I want to direct this post at all those who have had an awful holiday experience. To everyone who was:
Forced to celebrate a holiday you don’t observe.
Forced to celebrate a holiday that commemorates trauma in your past.
Forced to “act normal”.
Forced to be someone else.
Forced to be anywhere.
Forced to be near toxic people.
Forced to be near bigoted or racist family members.
Forced to wear a certain clothing item.
Forced to listen to family mock, shame, or condemn anyone including you.
Forced to act as if nothing happened.
Forced to act as if you’re not offended.
Forced to act as if it’s ok that your preferred pronoun wasn’t used.
Misgendered on purpose.
Given dirty looks when doing nothing but being yourself.
Made to feel less than.
If you are reading this, you made it. You survived that part of “the most wonderful time of the year” that no one talks about. You are beautiful, strong, resilient and you are loved.
