Happy Free Pancake Day!

One of my favorite days of the year is IHOP’s Free Pancake Day. I’m a breakfast food addict. More specifically, pancakes and waffles. When I die, I’d like everyone to have a buffet meal of breakfast foods with all the trimmings. I’d also like some breakfast food sprinkled on my grave, but that just spells horror when crows come down and surround my gravestone.

This got dark really fast.

Let’s brighten things up with pancakes!

IHOP undoubtedly earns a large part of their revenue from customers who come in for promotions. No one wants JUST a short stack. And if so, please leave a tip for your server because it is only fair.

Here was my breakfast choice: 2 slices of bacon, 2 fried eggs, and a short stack of classic buttermilk pancakes with butter pecan syrup. My mouth is watering again from just looking at this photo.

But buttermilk pancakes aren’t their only flavors! Some of the delicious unique pancake flavors are: Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse PancakesMexican Tres Leches PancakesCupcake Pancakes, and the old standard Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity® Pancakes.

There is also a new flavor, OREO® Oh My Goodness Pancakes, that was created by Kid Chef Brody. Quote from IHOP’s website:

Brody’s winning creation is OREO® Oh My Goodness pancakes – a stack of two buttermilk pancakes with OREO® cookie pieces baked in and topped with cupcake icing, more cookie pieces and whipped topping.

$1 from the sale of every OREO® Oh My Goodness pancake stack or breakfast combo goes to support IHOP Free Pancake Day charities. Available at IHOP restaurants nationwide: February 25 – April 14, 2019

Visit your local IHOP for a FREE short stack of Buttermilk Pancakes today, March 12, 2019, from 7 am to 7 pm, with select locations until 10 pm.

Eat pancakes and be generous with your donations!!

xoxo, Elle
